Tom is a licensed professional planner with three decades of experience in urban planning and public policy on the international, national, state and local levels. He previously directed the Center for Resilient Design at the College of Architecture and Design at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and was a senior advisor on land use planning to two governors.
Tom is available to speak about city and regional planning, land use, resilience and sustainability. He has spoken at the inaugural World Cities Day at the United Nations, World Urban Forum 7 in Medellin, Colombia and the makeCalgary Resilient International Symposium in Calgary, Canada.

Ariella Cohen is an award-winning journalist with 11 years of experience reporting on urban development, politics and policy.
Ariella is available to speak about community development, urban trends and Next City’s editorial content. She has been featured on American Public Media’s Marketplace, Al-Jazeera America and NPR. Ariella speaks regularly on panel discussions and in academic settings.

Tony has designed books and other projects for clients such as Thames and Hudson, Powerhouse, Steve Powers, the Pew Foundation, Deloitte and Federal Express. In 2005, he and Dan Murphy founded the experimental media project Megawords and were awarded the Pew Fellowship in the Arts in 2012.
