Are You A Vanguard? Applications Now Open
The Vanguard conference is an experiential urban leadership gathering of rising urban leaders working to improve cities across sectors, including urban planning, community development, entrepreneurship, government, transportation, sustainability, design, art and media.
Next City’s gathering of rising urban leaders will meet in Sacramento, September 30 through October 3, 2019. Forty Vanguards from around the world will be selected in a competitive application process. Applications will open until July 22, 2019 The application fee is $35, but a reduced early bird fee of $25 is available from June 5 through June 21.
The Vanguard program will be run by Next City in partnership with the Sacramento Region Host Committee, and the official host of the conference is The Center for Regional Change at the University of California, Davis. Among the program’s sponsors are Kaiser Permanente, NRPA, Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), Fulcrum Property, RallyRally, and Tre Borden Co.
