Next City and the New Cities Foundation have teamed up to host a series of weekly tweet chats about urbanization and “The Human City.” These themes will be discussed at the annual New Cities Summit, placing the individual and the community at the heart of discussions about the city of today and tomorrow. This year’s summit will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, from June 4-6.
A leading global platform for urban innovation and exchange, the New Cities Summit gathers 1,000 urban thinkers, innovators and decision-makers, who come together for three days of action-oriented debate, information sharing and problem solving on the future of our rapidly urbanizing world. The full program and speaker list is available at newcitiessummit2013.org.
Twitter users from around the world are invited to join the conversation online. In the next few weeks leading up to the conference, Next City will also publish a series of stories exploring the Brazilian city and summit conference themes.
