Next American City is co-presenting this event with the University of Pennsylvania’s Netter Center for Community Partnerships and the Penn Institute for Urban Research.

Exploring the new book by Xavier de Souza Briggs, Susan Popkin, and John Goering, this panel will offer lessons on place gleaned through extensive research on the federal Moving to Opportunity pilot program. Speakers include: Alan Berube, Brookings Institution; Ira Harkavy, University of Pennsylvania’s Netter Center for Community Partnerships; Susan Popkin, Urban Institute; Roger Williams, Annie E. Casey Foundation; and Susan Wachter, Penn Institute for Urban Research.
