Next City Event: Big Idea Challenge Block Party

Held in conjunction with Next City’s 2015 Vanguard conference, the competition invited the 55 young leaders who were invited to the conference to develop tactical urbanist interventions for three opportunity sites in Reno. The winning idea proposed included a series of public art projects along Fourth Street to celebrate the changes taking place in the burgeoning Brewery District. New wayfinding signs, banners for the street posts and murals will brighten up the corridor, and the event will culminate in a street fair and bonfires to symbolize the changes taking place in the district.
