Next City Event: 2012 International Town and Gown Association Conference

The conference will include keynote addresses from top figures in higher education and community development. A variety of topics will be covered in presentations and open discussions including economic development, urban planning, city/university planning, community relations, student affairs, education, bioenergy, arts and culture and many more.

The theme for the 2012 conference is “Town and Gown Partnerships for the Present and Future.” Over 400 attendees are expected representing educational institutions/communities through the United States, Canada and several other countries. Included will be representatives from institutions and communities in Europe, South America and Asia with which Eastern Kentucky University maintains exchange agreements.
