An initiative led by Next City in collaboration with our friends at Grist, our Equitable Cities Reporting Hub for Environmental Justice brings solutions-oriented environmental justice stories to local, national and global audiences. Our local partners include Planet Detroit, which is looking into Black Detroiters' access to nature, and the California Health Report, whose reporters are examining the public health impacts of the West Coast wildfires. Keep an eye out for more stories from these and other local partners.
Next City is a nonprofit news organization that believes journalists have the power to amplify solutions and spread workable ideas from one city to the next city. Our mission is to inspire greater economic, environmental, and social justice in cities.
