Korean-American artist David Choe posted a note on his Facebook page last night saying that he had hid $10,000 in cash throughout Detroit, “mostly 1’s and a few hundos.”

I don’t know how to fix Detroit. No one does. (If you want to learn more about some ideas, check out Anna Clark’s Forefront story about the Detroit Future City plan.) But in the meantime, what I can endorse is Choe’s creative form of economic stimulus. He literally poured $10,000 in the streets. Putting cash back in the hands of the people! Now go spend it at a local business.
