Is your city on the verge of something awesome? Do you want to share this excitement and energy with the next generation of urban leaders? Next City is now seeking cities to host its 10th Vanguard conference in spring/early summer of 2019.
Vanguard is an annual gathering of rising urban leaders working to improve cities across sectors, including urban planning, community development, entrepreneurship, government, transportation, sustainability, design, art and media. Serving as a host and sponsor is a unique opportunity to show off your latest urban development projects to a leading media organization, share innovations with the country’s smartest emerging leaders and get ideas for the future of your city. At each past conference, Next City showcased 40 rising urban leaders selected through a competitive application process representing a diverse array of professions, backgrounds and regions.
Vanguard is hosted by a different city each year. Past conferences have been held in Newcastle, Australia; Montreal, Quebec; Houston; Reno, Nevada; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia; St. Louis; and Cleveland.
