Studio Conversations: Collectivity in the City

A panel discussion about public art, social movements and collective action with Amber Art & Design and Works Progress Studio, moderated by Next City Executive Editor Ariella Cohen.

Monday, March 16, 2015

6:00pm - 8:00pm

A panel discussion about public art, social movements and collective action with Amber Art & Design and Works Progress Studio, moderated by Next City Executive Editor Ariella Cohen and presented by the MFA in Studio Art in Moore’s Social & Studio Practice graduate department in collaboration with the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program.

Cities are simultaneously trying to attract artists and dealing with their displacement alongside other poor and working residents. These kinds of challenges lead artists to form new alliances to support one another and respond to the most challenging issues of our time.

This event brings together in conversation two of the most exciting examples of this new collectivity, Philadelphia-based Amber Art and Design and Works Progress Studio, a Twin Cities-based practice.

Reservations are required.

Location

Moore College of Art and Design
1916 Race Street
