Join us on Wednesday, December 5 from 7-9pm to discuss how communities can come together to preserve and transform our cities’ former industrial sites and historical assets. Focusing on Philadelphia’s Viaduct, a three-mile former rail corridor, Mark B. Thompson, architect for Fairmount Water Works, will join Paul vanMeter of VIADUCTgreene, John Struble of Reading Viaduct Project, Ashby Leavell, a graduate fellow at Longwood Gardens, and Julie Beckman, a lecturer at PennDesign, to discuss how students, academic institutions, and advocacy organizations can collaborate to transform cities. Next American City Executive Director Diana Lind will moderate.
