A friend sent us this mesmerizing time-lapse video of the Lower Manhattan skyline during Hurricane Sandy.
We can’t tell who made it (YouTube user SMvideoChan?), but is sure worth two minutes of your time, if only to see the lights suddenly go dark around the 1:03 mark. Also notice how on the Brooklyn side of the East River the lights largely stay on, and how one half of the Williamsburg Bridge remains partially lit up as the other half goes completely dark — a phenomenon eerily captured in several pictures to emerge from the storm.
Enjoy, and if anyone knows the identity of the video maker, let us know.
