The award celebrates the creation of great urban places that are well-designed; make demonstrable and significant contributions to the social, environmental and economic conditions of their community; and illustrate the interplay of process, place and values in generating the places where we most enjoy living, working and playing together. Over the course of the RBA’s 24-year history, it has recognized a diverse range of architecture, landscape, urban design, planning, historic preservation and community development projects.
