Next City’s Vanguard conference will be held in Cleveland. In addition to the 40 selected participants, we’re adding four more individuals from Cleveland.

Each year that we convene the Vanguard conference in a different city, we receive a lot of applications from individuals who live in the host city. This year, after whittling down the submissions from applicants across the country (and Canada!), we thought that between our host committee and our place-based programming, we had Cleveland covered. Also, applications were so strong it would have been very tough to pick locals. But a week later, we rethought this decision and revisited the applicant pool.

It’s now with great pleasure and excitement that we announce the four Clevelanders who will join the 2013 Vanguard Class:

Michael Christoff
Vocon

David Jurca
Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative

Josh Rosen
Sustainable Community Associates

Jenny Spencer
Team Northeast Ohio

They have been added to the 2013 Vanguard Class, which you can read all about here. We’re excited to have these ambassadors from Cleveland share their perspective and enhance the discussions throughout the conference.
